Dr. Sherifali is an Associate Professor in the McMaster School of Nursing and a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Diabetes Care and Research Program at Hamilton Health Sciences. She will present Rapid Review Approaches, seminar #10 in the Canada Research Chair Seminar Series entitled Research Issues in the Design, Evaluation and Translation of Nurse-Led Interventions. The aim of Dr. Sherifali’s program of research is to optimize the management of diabetes and quality of life of people with diabetes across the lifespan.

Objectives

Developing, testing and implementing self-care innovations to improve diabetes care at the patient, provider and population level

Identifying and implementing innovative approaches to knowledge synthesis

Who should attend?

Graduate students (Master’s or PhD) enrolled in the Nursing Graduate Program at McMaster University

School of Nursing Faculty Members interested in developing &/or determining the effectiveness of nurse-led interventions

Clinical faculty members with the School of Nursing interested in designing, implementing or incorporating in their practice, and evaluating the effects of nurse-led interventions
